DESCRIPTION:  Come out and enjoy beautiful Sabino Canyon and help out a great cause!    Volunteers are needed to help tag and remove Arundo (an invasive giant reed that looks similar to bamboo) in Sabino Canyon.   Please arrive at 7\:50 a.m. and sign in at the Sabino Canyon  Visitor Center ramadas. The event\, sponsored by The University of Arizona Master Watershed Steward Program\, will last from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on each of the days listed below and you should wear sturdy shoes or boots\, a long-sleeved shirt\, long pants\, a hat and sunglasses or safety glasses. Please also bring a backpack\, sunblock and a water bottle. Tools and gloves will be provided for you.    Volunteers are needed for the following days\: Jan. 17\, Feb. 1 and Feb. 21.

SUMMARY:The 2009 Tucson Portrait Project 
DESCRIPTION:  In conjunction with the City of Tucson\, Patch & Clark Design - named for Gary Patch and Darren Clark - is photographing a slice of Tucson in 2009 for all city residents\, present and future\, to see.  This ambitious project consists of almost 7\,000 four-by-four-inch portraits displayed on four panels bordering the north and south entrances of the new Fourth Avenue underpass.   The Tucson Portrait Project will photograph interested University Medical  Center staff\, patients and visitors outside the front entrance of UMC on Feb. 10. No appointment is necessary and there is no charge.

SUMMARY:Sexual Responsibility Week
DESCRIPTION:  An education and information fair will be held on The University of Arizona Mall featuring information and resources on abstinence\, contraception\, adoption\, safer sex\, condoms\, sexual identity\, birth control\, HIV/AIDS and more. Campus and community groups such as Campus Health Services\, Wingspan\, Catholic Social Services\, Kino Teen Center\, AIDS Safe\, Oasis\, Pima Prevention Partnership\, Planned Parenthood\, Student Health Advisory Committee\, Tucson Indian Center\, Tucson Herpes Center\, the UA Women's Resource Center and more will participate in the education/information fair. There will be special appearances throughout the day by Mr. Condom\, the giant\, walking condom.  Campus Health Services is coordinating this national\, annual rite of spring. The goal of Sexual Responsibility Week is to promote healthy relationships and reduce the consequences of sexual behavior\, including sexually transmitted diseases\, unintended pregnancy and sexual assault.
