SUMMARY:\"PostSecret\"
DESCRIPTION:\"PostSecret\" is a worldwide community art project started by Frank Warren in November 2004. Warren invited strangers he encountered in Washington D.C. to write down and illustrate a secret anonymously on a blank post card and mail it to him. The secret had to be true\, and it had to be something that had never been shared with another person. Over three years and 100\,000 secrets later\, \"PostSecret\" has become an international phenomenon. The Union Gallery will present an exhibit of original \"PostSecret\" cards. All members of the UA and Tucson communities are invited to contribute their own cards. Drop boxes will be available in the Student Union Memorial Center\, the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership\, Campus Health and the School of Art. Be creative - let the card be your canvas! All cards collected at the UA will be exhibited in the Union Gallery.

SUMMARY:El Día de los Muertos Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Students in two sections of Alba Nora Martinez's Spanish 330 courses collected items for two altars that will be displayed at the University of Arizona's Main Library. The first altar was installed Oct. 31 and the second will be installed at noon Nov. 2 with bread\, candy\, toys\, pictures\, chocolate and other items. The Friday afternoon bilingual event will feature games for children\, poetry readings by the students\, live music and refreshments\, including \"pan de muerto\,\" bread traditionally served during the holiday. A book exhibit will accompany the installations\, which will remain at the UA Main Library until Nov. 11. \"The students are learning a language\, so they should learn the culture\,\" said Martinez\, an adjunct lecturer in the Spanish and Portuguese department. El Día de los Muertos\, or Day of the Dead\, exists to remember those who have passed. The belief is that those who have died crave the food\, candles\, flowers and other items of the living. Friday's event will not be presented as a religious event\, but more of a cultural celebration meant to educate others about El Día de los Muertos\, Martinez said. \"The installation will be a performance\, and the students will explain the meaning of every item\,\" she said. \"It is not a sad day. It's about celebrating life. That is what the altar and the day mean.\"
