DESCRIPTION:Qualified faculty from The University of Arizona and its affiliates are encouraged to apply for cancer research funds made available through an American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant and the Arizona Cancer Center Support Grant. These funds are intended to provide seed money to new investigators to help them with starting their research programs and to obtain preliminary data in support of more extensive proposals. Only applications that relate to cancer research will be accepted. DESCRIPTION:Foil the flu!One of the surest ways to avoid getting the flu - and spreading it - is by getting vaccinated with a flu shot. To make it easier for students to get their seasonal flu shots\, the Campus Health Service will hold several walk-up clinics during the week of Sept. 28.MONDAY8 a.m.-5 p.m. - McKale Memorial Center (this clinic is intended for student-athletes) 9\:30 a.m.-1 p.m. - Harvill 2 p.m.-6 p.m. - Physics-Atmospheric Sciences   TUESDAY12 p.m.-3 p.m. - Arizona Health Sciences Center\, Campus Health Service clinic (this clinic is intended for medicine\, nursing\, pharmacy and public health students)   WEDNESDAY11 a.m.-1 p.m. - UA Mall\, in front of Student Union  THURSDAY 10\:45 a.m.-2 p.m. - Old Main\, west side  FRIDAY 8\:45 a.m.-1 p.m. - Integrated Learning Center 2 p.m.-4\:15 p.m. - Biological Sciences East  Please note\:Bring your CatCard. Each shot is $15\, payable with cash\, Visa/MasterCard or check with picture ID. This is lower than the fee being charged at other locations. The clinics won't be able to process insurance claims but you'll get a receipt you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement. Wear a short-sleeved shirt. At this time\, only seasonal flu shots are available.Students must be at least 18 years old to get vaccinated. Shriberg will give a lecture on \"Puzzles and Mysteries\: Unraveling the Origins of Childhood Apraxia of Speech.\"Shriberg is principal investigator of the Phonology Project and co-director of the Phonology Clinic at the Waisman Center at the University of Wisconsin\, Madison. Shriberg's research interests focus on genetic and other origins of pedicatric speech sound disorders\, including studies to identify diagnostic markers for clinical subtypes and studies to develop subtype-specific treatment.
