SUMMARY:Staff Town Hall with President Shelton
DESCRIPTION:President Robert Shelton and Provost Meredith Hay will be speaking at the Classified Staff Advisory Council's Town Hall about the UA's Transformation Plan. As departments and colleges make progress in drafting proposals to merge and realign units\, SAC is seeing the emergence of both good ideas and understandable concerns about the process.  The council is committed to addressing all responses as the University advances through each phase of this effort.Proactive creativity is needed to address the challenges that have been presented to the UA by the downturn in the economy. It is important to keep sight of the University's ultimate goal\: a more financially durable University that is able to maintain stability through economic peaks and valleys. This forum will provide an opportunity to address concerns\, hear ideas and discuss how staff members are being involved. Supervisors are strongly encouraged to permit release time so that staff may attend the meeting\, which will be held in the Main Library.  Additional seating will be available in the Arizona Cancer Centers' Kiewit Auditorium and it will be conferenced to UA South and the College of Medicine in Phoenix.
