DESCRIPTION:Tour the beautiful Thomas W. Keating Bioresearch Building\, home of the BIO5 Instititute\, on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. by appointment only.Register online.Visitors will see working research laboratories where BIO5 faculty search for the solutions to some of humanity's most complex problems. Among many projects\, our faculty are working to find unique cancer therapies that leave healthy cells intact\; identify the beneficial agents in ginger\, turmeric\, and basil\; learn new ways to defeat deadly viruses\; or trace the migrations of humans out of Africa hundreds of thousands of years ago. Faculty\, researchers and students all share the 177\,000 square feet of research space with a small but well-chosen art collection and the Nucleus Cafe.
