SUMMARY:KEYS Research Internships for High School Students
DESCRIPTION:Motivated high school juniors and seniors can find outstanding biomedical and environmental health sciences summer research experiences at The University of Arizona this summer.Six weeks of discovery begin with training classes in basic lab skills\, lab safety and keeping a lab notebook. Students will  take specialized classes in their choice of pharmacology\, toxicology and environmental health\, bioinformatics or genetics.   They will receive 30 hours each week of real laboratory research experience\, participate in a journal club and present a poster or PowerPoint talk about their work at the grand finale\, when families and friends are welcome.Application deadline is March 7.
