Creighton Honeck and Tarquin MacManus become the 93rd and 94th UA players to earn all-Pac-10 honors since the University joined the league in 1978-79.

Two University of Arizona men’s golfers have received postseason Pacific-10 Conference honors.

Creighton Honeck and Tarquin MacManus were named to the all-Pac-10 team by the conference’s head coaches. Honeck was a first-team selection, and MacManus earned second-team kudos.

Honeck, a 6-foot-3 senior from Austin, Texas, received first-team honors after claiming individual medalist honors at the 2008 Pac-10 Championships with a score of 281, 3 under par. It was the first victory of his career and came with a birdie-3 on the first hole of a sudden death playoff.

On the season, Honeck posted a 72.86 stroke average and led or shared the team lead in appearances (12), rounds played (35) and rounds at par or better (18). He posted two top-10 and three top-20 finishes, nine rounds in the 60s and had a low round of 68. It is the first time that he has earned all-conference honors.

MacManus, a 5-foot-10 freshman from Cairns, Queensland, Australia, led the Wildcats with a 72.51 stroke average and a total of seven top-10 finishes. Seventeen of his 35 rounds played were at par or better and he carded a low round of 66. MacManus was Arizona's top finisher in five of his 12 starts and 34 of his 35 rounds played counted toward the team total. Additionally, his stroke average is the fifth lowest in school history for a freshman.

Honeck and MacManus are the 93rd and 94th UA players to earn all-Pac-10 honors since the University joined the league in 1978-79. Honeck is the program's 44th first-team selection and the first since 2005.
