DESCRIPTION:  Since 1939\, Blue Notes' catalog of music has featured an array of legendary performances and a core list of must-have recordings that indelibly marked the history of jazz. To mark its 70th anniversary\, the premier label in jazz comes to Centennial Hall with an all-star band. The tour unites music director and pianist Bill Charlap with some of the most in-demand players in jazz\, including tenor saxophonist Ravi Coltrane\, Peter Bernstein on guitar\, drummer Lewis Nash\, Nicholas Payton on trumpet\, Peter Washington on bass and Steve Wilson on alto sax.
