The Ninth Annual Marguerite Ough Competition for Women Studying Voice

The Tucson Musical Arts Club and the UA School of Music announce the ninth
annual Marguerite Ough Competition for graduate women studying voice. The female singers competing will submit repertoire
including an operatic or oratorio aria, and a variety of songs including, but
not limited to, French, German, Spanish and American.

The scholarship that funds the competition was established in 1997 to support
student singers and honors the memory of Marguerite Ough, emeriti professor of
voice, who taught at the UA School of Music from 1948-1973.
