UA Fotocat Contest

The University of Arizona invites amateur photographers to bring their cameras to campus and enter their best photographs in the UA FotoCat Contest. The contest is a joint project of the UA, Tucson Newspapers and the Arizona Daily Star. Winning photos will be showcased in the Star and will be featured in a photo exhibit at the Kachina Gallery at the Student Union Memorial Center. They may also be used to promote the UA, if you agree to it.

We are looking for photos in the following categories:

  • Wildcat Fans at Arizona Athletics Events
  • Families on UA Campus
  • Students – Campus Life
  • Alumni Photographers
  • Events on Campus
  • Campus Scenery

Photos can be submitted online. Readers of the Arizona Daily Star and professional photographers will choose the winners.

In entering the contest, you agree that your photo may be used online and in the Star in coverage and promotions related to the contest, and in an exhibit at the University to feature the top entries. Beyond the contest, the University might be interested in using your photo for promotional purposes. It's optional, not a part of the contest, and you do not have to sign the University agreement to enter the contest.
