Ninth Annual SW Graduate Conference in Middle Eastern Studies

Dedicated to providing valuable feedback to graduate students from professors to improve their papers both in context and delivery, the conference is now in its eighth year and has expanded to include graduate students from multiple universities within the United States and around the world.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Arabic, Persian, Turkish or Hebrew linguistics
  • International and domestic politics
  • Media and music studies
  • Urban planning and politics of space
  • Technology, health and medicine
  • Religious studies
  • Literary analysis
  • Gender studies
  • Ethnicity and nationalism
  • Colonialism and post-colonial theory
  • Art and architecture of the Islamic world
  • Historical analysis
  • Conflict studies

Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis until Jan. 15.
