Tucson Festival of Books

It's free! It's fun! It's for everyone!

The first Tucson Festival of Books is a two-day celebration of reading and literacy to be held on the UA campus. The UA BookStore will serve as the central hub for activities that will include 15 stage areas, 340-plus authors and 200 exhibitors.

Festival highlights include:

  • Lectures, inteviews and book signings with local, regional and nationally known authors, including J.A. Jance, Elmore Leonard, Diana Gabaldon, Gail Carson Levine and Michael McGarrity
  • Children's author appearances, interactive stage performances, a children's area, storytelling and arts and crafts
  • Workshops for aspiring authors
  • Poetry readings
  • Writing contests, including readings by the winner of the Arizona Daily Star's International Short Story Contest
  • Book reviews and panel discussions
  • Book sales

You may also join the authors at the gala dinner on March 13. Purchase tickets through the festival Web site.
