The World of Herbs: A Lecture Series by Pat Kenny

Pat Kenny will give illustrated lectures, discussions and demonstrations on a wide variety of herbal topics. Some of the topics may include: 

  • Gardening with herbs and designing an herb garden
  • Growing and using herbs
  • Container herb gardening for gourmet cooking
  • Native American, Southwest and winter herbs
  • Plants that color

Kenny is a member of The Herb Society of America, committee member of the National Herb Garden and part-time employee at the Dr. James Duke medicinal herb garden in Maryland. Kenny has taught courses on herbs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Graduate School for 10 years. Her professional career was as a medical/botanical illustrator at the National Institute of Health. She is a master gardener, popular lecturer and very active member of the Potomac Unit of the Herb Society.
