The Graduate Research in Atmospheric Sciences conference allows graduate students to not only gain valuable experience in public speaking and presentation in an informal setting but also share their research with their colleagues and the university community. Presenters range from first-year graduate students to outgoing Ph.D. students, and thus have a wide range of experience in both research and public speaking. GRATIS has been held since 1999 and has an impressive history. The conference has been growing in scope, showcasing research from a variety of disciplines yet all within the scope of the earth-atmosphere system.
