Solar Decath-o-Prom
The University of Arizona College of Architecture is hosting a "Solar Decath-o-Prom." This is a formal event complete with a disc jockey, dancing, raffle, food and drinks to raise money for the UA Solar Decathlon Team. Everyone is invited!
The UA College of Architecture was one of 20 schools chosen throughout the world to participate in the U.S. Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon Competition, a biannual competition on the mall in Washington, D.C., where schools must design an 800-square-foot dwelling that will run entirely on solar power. This is the first time that any school from the southwest has participated in this contest, and we need all of Tucson's support to help us raise the $180,000 we still need for the purchase of solar panels and transportation of our dwelling.
Come dance, eat, drink and help support a sustainable effort for our future!
Admission: $20 at the door or $15 if purchased before Saturday in the front office of the architecture building
