SUMMARY:Volunteers Needed for Giant Reed (Arundo) Removal in Sabino Canyon 
DESCRIPTION:Come out and enjoy beautiful Sabino Canyon and help out a great cause!   Volunteers are needed to help tag and remove Arundo (an invasive giant reed that looks similar to bamboo) in Sabino Canyon.  Please arrive at 7\:50 a.m. and sign in at the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center ramadas. Parking for giant reed removal volunteers is free. Drive through in the bypass lane and park. You will receive a volunteer parking pass to place in your windshield at the registration table.  The event\, sponsored by The University of Arizona Master Watershed Steward Program\, will last from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on each of the days listed below and you should wear sturdy shoes or boots\, a long-sleeved shirt\, long pants\, a hat and sunglasses or safety glasses. Please also bring a backpack\, sunblock and a water bottle. Tools and gloves will be provided for you.   Volunteers are still needed for the following days\: March 1 The project will begin again in October.
