The first University of Arizona Brass Faculty Recital will feature UA brass faculty, including Edward Reid, trumpet; Daniel Katzen, horn; Moisés Paiewonsky, trombone; and Kelly Thomas, tuba

They will combine with UA students in a variety of chamber ensembles, performing pieces by Morton Gould, Kim Scharnberg and Paquito d'Rivera.

The program will also present joint faculty and student performances of an original work by Professor Paiewonsky and the finale from Symphony No. 2, by Gustav Mahler, in a new adaptation by Professor Katzen.
