Nameless by John Thornton

The University of Arizona School of Art is proud to present Namelees, an exhibition of artwork by John Thornton.

Thornton was a witness to South Africa’s apartheid and his work is driven by his observations of social injustice. In America’s economic hardship, Thornton has chosen to reflect on our increasing homeless population.

Routinely ignored, pushed aside in the streets and alleyways, and in constant hardship, the “nameless” come to the forefront of our observations in this exhibition.
