The Committee of Refugees for African Solidarity, in collaboration with the African Student Association at The University of Arizona, is hosting a series of talks by political refugees from various African nations on the current political situation and the ensuing humanitarian crises in their home countries. Having experienced much of what they will talk about first hand, their presentations will shed revealing light on the difficult situations that so many are forced to endure as a result of unresponsive, corrupt and repressive regimes. Their goal, in addition to informing the public, is to encourage people to take action. Learn more about the situations in these countries, refugees' experiences and how you can become involved with the refugee community in Tucson by attending any of the three talks that will be given between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
