Honors students are invited to kick off the academic year with a welcome from the dean, followed by small group discussions of the common reading book with faculty, staff and fellow students around the topic of memory, and exploration of the hidden treasures of the campus.  

The event will finish with refreshments and music at Slonaker House, where students will have the opportunity to chat with Honors College staff, receive their first-year experience passports and learn about clubs, groups and activities of special interest to honors students. Door prizes will be given out to help students create new memories.
