National Parks Family Expo With Film Screening and Panel Discussion

The National Parks Family Expo is an outdoor exposition featuring activities and displays in support of the national parks. The expo is followed by a one-hour special prescreening of the new PBS documentary from Ken Burns, “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea.” The special screening is followed by a community panel discussion on “The State of the National Parks,” with scheduled panelists U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, of Colorado, U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva, of Arizona, and Darla Sidles, Saguaro National Park superintendent.

The event also includes a preview of "Southwestern Gems: Our Desert National Parks," from the producers of "The Desert Speaks." It is a stunning showcase of national sites of the four major North American deserts: The Great Basin Desert of Nevada and Utah, the Mohave Desert of California, the Sonoran Desert of Arizona and the Chihuahuan Desert of New Mexico and Texas.
