
Gayil Talshir will give a talk on "Identity, Politics and the Politics of Identity in Israel."
Talshir received her doctorate from Oxford University and is a lecturer in the department of political science at The Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She leads the department's master's program in citizenship and democracy. She is currently serving as the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Visiting Professor in Israel Studies in the Arizona Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Arizona. Talshir's scholarly expertise focuses on democracy and environmentalism.
