John Corigliano and Toru Takemitsu Festival: Keynote Presentation, Symposium by the University of Arizona School of Music

Directed by University of Arizona composer Daniel Asia, the festival will provide a rich panorama of the music of two luminaries of contemporary music, John Corigliano and Toru Takemitsu.

The event entails four concerts, a keynote presentation and an introductory symposium.

The concerts will engage the entire School of Music, including performances by the Arizona Symphony Orchestra, UA Wind Ensemble, Arizona Contemporary Ensemble, and a variety of faculty and student artists.

The featured guest artist will be guitarist David Tanenbaum. Tanenbaum is recognized internationally as an outstanding performing and recording artist, a charismatic educator, and a transcriber and editor of both taste and intelligence.
