Campus Take Back the Night 2008

6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Take Back the Night is an event to show solidarity in the face of sexual assault. The event includes music by Leila Lopez and local Mariachi Bands, a mini-resource fair, survivor speak-out and many prominent speakers, including Arianne Burford, Oscar Jimenez, Erin Durban and poet T.C. Tolbert.

The fair and mariachi music will be from 6 p.m.-7 p.m., speakers and survivor speak-out from 7 p.m.-8 p.m., and a march through campus ending in a vigil with the Tucson community at Catalina Park will be from 8 p.m.-9 p.m.

Co-sponsored by the Women's Resource Center, Oasis Program, UA Men Against Violence, Residence Life, Social Justice Leadership Center, WILPF, Tucson NOW, Pride Alliance, SHAC, WISE, the National Pan-Hellenic Conference and the Episcopal Campus Ministry. Funding provided in part by the Commission on the Status of Women and the Parents and Family Association.
