CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo to Lecture to Full House on Thursday

The “Closing Bell” host will appear as part of UA Eller College Distinguished Speaker Series.

On Thursday, March 5, CNBC's Maria Bartiromo will lecture to a capacity crowd at The University of Arizona as part of the Eller College of Management Distinguished Speaker Series.

The anchor of "Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo" and host and managing editor of the nationally syndicated "Wall Street Journal Report with Maria Bartiromo" will speak on "The Global Economy and New President: The Impact on You." 

RSVPs are closed for the event, though limited additional seating may be available on a first-come, first-served basis 15 minutes before the lecture begins at 5:15 p.m. Guests who arrive for this seating may be turned away if space does not permit.

The lecture is free, and will be held at the UA's Crowder Hall, 1017 North Olive Road. Parking is available for a fee in the Park Avenue Garage on the corner of Park Avenue and Helen Street. 

Maria Bartiromo joined CNBC in 1993, after five years as a producer and assignment editor with CNN Business News. In 1995, Bartiromo became the first journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on a daily basis, where she covered breaking news for the network's unscripted and fast-paced business morning program, "Squawk Box." 

She also writes a weekly column in BusinessWeek magazine entitled "FaceTime with Maria Bartiromo" and contributes to a weekly column in Milano Finanza. Bartiromo graduated from New York University, where she majored in journalism and minored in economics.
