Going to College GameDay at the UA?

The popular ESPN program College GameDay will broadcast live from the UA this Saturday, Nov. 21 from 8 to 10 a.m.

The popular ESPN program College GameDay will broadcast live from the University of Arizona this Saturday, Nov. 21 from 8 to 10 a.m.

The designated space for fans, the "Pit," will be located on the UA Mall just east of Old Main, and the Mall will open to the public at 5 a.m. There will be no public access prior to 5 a.m.

All attendees will be screened by security prior to entrance to the Pit.

At 7 a.m., a live segment from the College GameDay set will air on ESPN's SportsCenter.

Arizona fans are encouraged to come to the Mall, wear red and support the Wildcats during the nationally-televised program.

Guidelines for GameDay Attendees

  • No alcoholic beverages are permitted.
  • Visitors are encouraged to park in the Main Gate and Park Avenue Garages.
  • During the event, the Mall will be open only to pedestrians. No bicycles, carts or skateboards will be permitted.
  • Posters and placards cannot be attached to sticks.
  • Signs with inappropriate language may be confiscated by security.
  • Limited food and beverage offerings will be available at the Student Union Memorial Center.
  • No bags, backpacks or bottles will be permitted in the Pit.

Tailgating Procedures

  • Tailgate grounds east of Cherry Avenue will open for parking at 6 a.m. All typical tailgate policies and procedures including access to park will be identical to previous games this season.
  • Tailgate pass holders will receive a parking pass upon arrival.
  • The tailgating area will still open five hours prior to kickoff (1 p.m.).
  • Tailgate policies, including consumption of alcohol prior to 1 p.m. will be enforced.
  • All tailgate areas must be cleared within one hour after the conclusion of the game. 

Alcohol Policies in Tailgating Area:

  • No sale of alcohol
  • No open alcohol containers is permitted on public streets, sidewalks or thoroughfares. Only beer and wine are permitted.
  • No common sources of alcohol
  • No alcohol in Arizona Stadium
  • No public intoxication or disorderly conduct
  • Use of glass containers are strongly discouraged.
  • Alcohol may be consumed only during the five-hour period prior to kickoff.
  • All tailgate areas must be cleared within one hour of the conclusion of the game.
  • People who supply alcohol to underage drinkers may incur criminal and civil charges.
